Drilling 101

Join us for a technical presentation on how the various drilling methods, and their applications can be used for environmental sampling, well installation, hydrological and geotechnical investigations, instrumentation installation (inclinometers, piezometers, etc), exploration geology, dewatering and more. At the end, you will understand:

• How direct push, hollow stem auger, sonic, rotary (direct air, mud, reverse, dual rotary) and rock coring are typically employed for environmental and infrastructure applications
• The strengths, weaknesses and applicability of each method  for different project objectives in various geologic settings
